Zalman Cnps 9500 - AM2 Heatpipe CPU Cooler
Performance-wise, this cooler works in exactly the same way as its predecessor, the CNPS9500-LED. It is supplied with a standard 3-pin fan cable and a FANMATE2 to allow you to control the fan speed.
The most striking difference between the other versions and this new AM2 cooler is the finish of the product. The CNPS9500-AM2 has been given a makeover. Instead of the plain copper look it has been nickel plated which gives it a more sophisticated look and feel. In addition, the opaque fan has a green LED which is great if you like to show off your internal components.
Compatibility Issues
The reason Zalman have used the "AM2" suffix is because this CNPS95000 is compatible with AMD’s new AM2 socket. As usual Zalman have released a comprehensive list of compatible motherboards. Please see manufacturer's website for details. If your motherboard is not shown in the list please measure your motherboard to ascertain compatibility.
The new mounting clip has been designed to make it possible to install this cooler onto any AM2, 754, 939 or 940 motherboard without having to remove it from the chassis, which is not possible with the CNPS9500-LED version.
