Yamaha MG10XU Analogue Mixer

Yamaha is a very well known brand in the world of pro audio and is responsible for providing high-quality equipment such as Monitors, headphones and mixers, as well as software such as Cubase and audio interfaces under the Steinberg Brand.

The MG 'X' series of mixers have been successfully powering the audio industry for years, and this latest iteration of compromises nothing when it comes to sound quality, functionality and durability.

D-Pre Preamps

Preamps are a vital part of any mixer as they will determine how good your signal, and ultimately sound quality is. Fortunately, Yamaha's D-Pre preamps are one of the industries best and provide a lot of power at low impedance. In short, this means the sound you get out of a D-Pre will be full and clear with no unwanted artefacts and colouration, and can reach high volume with no distortion.

High-Quality FX

The X models of the MG mixers includes FX based on the famous Yamaha SPX processor algorithms. The MG10XU includes a ton of FX which can add excitement to a recording or live show. The FX include:

  • Reverb
  • Delay
  • Flanger
  • Phaser
  • Chorus
  • Wah
  • Radio Voice
  • Distortion
  • Pitch Change
  • Tremolo

Switchable Phantom Power & PAD Switch

In terms of functionality, the MG mixers have you covered. With a wide array of microphones and input sources available, each signal is going to offer a different level of volume which can become a problem - the signal could be too hot and start clipping for example. An integrated PAD switch allows you to toggle between MIC and Line level in order to sort out any of these potential issues.

For condenser microphones, phantom power is also available.

Your Own Sound

A mixer would be a mixer if it didn't give you the ability to 'mix' your audio! Thankfully, the MG10XU series comes with a plethora of control to dial in the sound you want, including gain & output volume on every channel, and a 3-band EQ & 80Hz HPF on each mono channel.

Panning control is available for each channel, as well and a volume knob. A volume knob instead of a traditional slider means the mixer can be kept compact, while still easy to use.

A Wide Variety of Connectors

Every model in the MG series features a balanced XLR / 1/4" line-level jack connector on the mono channels, as well as stereo 1/4" line channels and XLR equipped stereo channels. These mono inputs accept both mic and line level signals. Two stereo inputs have XLR and two phone connectors, accepting line level signals suitable for mono or stereo.

USB Audio Interface

The XU models within the MG series feature digital connectivity for a quick and simple setup for high resolution playback. The mixer may be connected to your PC via USB and even to your iPhone or iPad (2 or later). The USB connection works with 24-bit/192kHz audio quality for superior playback.

Cubase AI Bundle

Included with the MG10XU is a downloadable version of the Cubase AI software to offer users an outstanding music production experience straight out of the box. The advanced, DAW options allow for ultimate control over your sound and it is this quality that has garnered Cubase critical acclaim.

Built to Survive

Stages and live environments are notoriously harsh to equipment, which is why the MG mixers are built like a tank. Constructed from metal, the MG mixers can survive the test of time, from being dropped, knocked and transported. They are also passively cooled, resulting in less noise and one less thing that could potentially fail (in the form of a fan), which could render the mixer unusable.

Returns Policy

We ask that you follow these guidelines to help us process your return as quickly and efficiently as possible:

1. Please keep your order reference to hand. This confirms your original order and gives us the necessary details to authorise the product’s return.

2. Contact our Customer Services Team on 02476 369898 (or e-mail cs@inta-audio.com). We will then send you an RMA number and returns form which needs to be completed and sent back with the returned item(s).

3. (If the order has been unpacked) re-package it to ensure that it is being returned in its original condition. Please make sure all items relating to the product are returned, including manuals and cables.

4. When returning an item please obtain a ‘proof of postage’ receipt from the Courier.

Returned items must be mailed within 10 days of when the RMA Number has been issued. Items received with a post date 30 days after your requested return will NOT be eligible for refund.

Please note: Our returns policy is quite straightforward but there are a number of conditions that we ask our customers to comply with before applying:

1. It is your responsibility to request a return. If you don’t tell us you want to make a return, we don’t know. Once you do tell us, we will do everything we can to action it.

2. If you have not requested a return within 28 days of receiving an order, we will have assumed that you are intending to keep it and we will not authorise a return.

3. We always refund the payment according to how the original purchase was made and aim to do so within 72hrs of the return being received by us.

4. Returned goods are liable for a restocking fee of 15% towards handling and repackaging if the order is not returned in its original, unopened packaging. This charge will be subject to our inspection of the returned goods.

5. Delivery charges will not be refunded unless the delivered goods are faulty.

6. Replacement products are dispatched immediately after the returned goods have been received and accepted by Inta Audio.

7. Items that develop a fault within 30 days of delivery are eligible for a replacement or a refund. Delivery costs are also reimbursed for faulty items. Please contact our Customer Services Team on 02476 369898 if you believe your item has developed a fault.

Finally, please remember that notifying us of your intention to apply for a return, saving the delivery paperwork and keeping the order in its original packaging will help both you and Inta Audio to process the return quickly.
